The Scrap Store

The Scrap Store, based in Ruthin, sells a range of items donated or diverted from waste, for all your crafting desires!

​

We aim to ensure that everyone has access to affordable art and crafting supplies, whilst reducing local landfill waste. 

What we sell:

  • Sewing supplies

  • Knitting and crochet supplies

  • Art supplies

  • Needle felting

  • Beading

  • Scrap goods (i.e polystyrene, wallpaper remnants etc)

  • And much more....

We stock a small number of new craft supplies at lower than market price. 

​

We also offer a space for local crafters and artists to display and sell their work. Find out more.

Donating to us

As a small not-for-profit organisation, we rely on your donations to continue to do what we do. ​We accept donations of items listed below from individuals or businesses.

​

We are usually very happy to accept donations, however, sometimes our storeroom is full and we are unable to accept further donations. We advise you call us before donating to avoid disappointment

​

We accept: 

  • Craft supplies

  • Art supplies

  • Crafting machines

  • Books

  • Tablewear

  • Toys

  • New or like new clothes or shoes

  • Winter coats and accessories

For furniture donations call us as we accept on a case

by case basis

We don't accept:

  • DVDs and CDs

  • VHS tapes

  • Cassette tapes

  • Folders

  • Underwear

  • Fabric scraps

  • Bric a brac

Business Donations

We are always on the lookout to work in partnership with businesses and trade. We may be able to collect your safe and clean scrap, therefore, improve your environmental credentials and reduce waste costs.

The Maker's Room

The Maker's Room, located within the Scrap Store provides a space for local artists and crafters to showcase their work and inspire others.

It is free for individuals to display their work. However, we do ask for a 15% commission on sale. 

​

If you are interested in displaying your work with us email or call us to enquire.

The Maker's Room is very popular so you may be placed on a waiting list.
